    Herbert Hollick-Kenyon

    Herbert Hollick-Kenyon, aviator (b at London, Eng 17 Apr 1897; d at Vancouver 30 July 1975). He immigrated with his family in 1909 to Ewing's Landing, BC, and joined the Canadian Army in 1914. Twice wounded in France, he was invalided home and in 1917 joined the Royal Flying Corps.

    Heritage Minutes

    The Heritage Minutes collection is a bilingual series of history-focused public service announcements. Each 60-second short film depicts a significant person, event or story in Canadian history. They are produced by Historica Canada, the not-for-profit organization that also publishes this encyclopedia. First released in 1991, the Heritage Minutes have been shown on television, in cinemas and online. They have become a recognizable part of Canadian culture. The collection currently includes 100 episodes.

    Howard Charles Clark, FRSC, chemist, university administrator (born 4 September 1929 in at Auckland, New Zealand; died 14 August 2024 in Guelph, ON).     Hubert Reeves, C.C., G.O.Q., astrophysicist, science popularizer, environmental activist (born 13 July 1932 in Montreal, QC; died 13 October 2023 in Paris, France). Over the course of his career, he published numerous books, translated into several languages, and made frequent appearances on radio and television (see also Astrophysics). Reeves is also renowned for his efforts to protect the environment (see also Environmental Movement in Canada).
